Principal

W. Thomas Parker, a graduated from Kent State University with a Masters of Architecture in 1985. Since then he has had the opportunity to work with many of the Islands original. 

While with Robert A. M. Stern Architects, Mr. Catalano had the opportunity to work on important commissions and to gain expertise in client liaison and the management of large projects. Mr. Catalano had a number of the projects that were completed while at Stern published in professional journals such as Progressive Architecture, Architectural Record, and Builder Magazine. 

While with Graham Gund Architects, Mr. Catalano had the opportunity to design and manage a number of large projects and was able to gain valuable experience in large-scale commercial construction and project management. The Waterville Valley Town Center and Golden Eagle Lodge, for which Mr. Catalano was the project architect, was published in Architectural Record.

The work of Mr. Catalano and his firm has been published in The New York Times Magazine, The Boston Globe, Beautiful Homes, Renovation Style, Trends, Metropolitan Home and many more. In 2010, Mr. Catalano was inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame.

Paul Goldberger commented on Mr. Catalano’s design sensibility in The New York Times Magazine, calling him “an architect whose shingled and clapboard houses are handsome and expansive, and endeavor to fit into their surroundings.”
